a way of recording my experience during the pandemic. During this year we have
all experienced new and challenging events, but I wanted to document how the
pandemic has affected my experience coming into adulthood, and the extra
anxieties COVID has brought with it. With this piece I wanted to comment on the
pandemic. The mundanity of the everyday, maintaining relationships through
finding new ways of communication, dealing with emotions and the feeling of
isolation. As well as the typical stresses that face young adults including
exams, future plans, leaving home and changes to relationships and friendships
as people move on to the next step of their lives. Yurie Nagashima has been a huge
influence to this project, her <i style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"">Self-Portraits</i"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"">
photography project took 24 years to create and chronologically display her
life as she explores love, adulthood, becoming a mother and the role of a
woman. Alessandra Sanguinetti documented the relationship between her cousin
and her friend through their childhood and journey into adultence in </span"><i style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"">The Adventures of Guille and Belinda and The
Illusion of an Everlasting Summer</i"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"">. Both of these photographers use film to
create works that perfectly capture the progression of time and this is
something that I wanted to explore in my work even when it's on a smaller
scale. </span">I believe that everyone will be
able to find something they can connect with in this piece, as this pandemic
has affected everyone.</h4">
