Helen started her career as metal sculptor making bird life in mild steel using oxyacetylene welding equipment.
She exhibited and sold widely mainly in the north of England.
In 1979 she opened her own gallery selling her own work and the work of many other artists.
After a move to Lincolnshire in 1985 her focus moved to life study, modelling in clay from life and having them cast in
bronze. It was at this time Helen began painting in watercolour, oil, acrylic and mixed media. She has had several group
exhibitions locally, usually in the arts center but also in Oundle. She has been a member of the Welland Valley Arts society for
many years and was hanging secretary for seven.
Helen loves landscapes especially the trees in winter and has spent many years painting them. Of late she has been producing abstracts
because she has become totally fascinated by the multi layering techniques.
